The New Bicycle Colour, You've Known Forever.
ATHLETICA is the new colour you've known your whole life. For us, it brings back that classic heather grey with a touch of that 70s vibe we always love. Grey has always been a staple in athletic clothing, long before athletic wear was being produced in plastics. It was like, THE colour that was available for the gym & for sweats, for comfy days off.

Taking it back to the roots of athletics, and to the early days of Bicycle by Downtown Betty, we made every single prototype in this classic heather grey. Athletica gives us an ultra zen feel, chillness & ease in this soft grey pallet.
Short Sleeve Crop Top

Our clothing is made from natural fiber fabrics with just a bit of lycra,
to keep microfibers out of our precious oceans, while also creating clothes that feels as good as naked ;)
Our goal at Downtown Betty is to take us to a time when there was no trash on our beaches, and no plastic microfibers floating in our oceans. As Spring comes around, and we feel inspired to update our wardrobes, it is important to be mindful of what our clothes are made of.
We choose cotton because is one of the most soft, comfortable, yet sweat-able & breathable fabrics out there. It doesn't hold smells, and in our books, it lasts the longest in both it's quality & it's looks, and yet one day, it will decompose (with the exception of the 8% lycra), vs the tiny balls of microfibers that we're seeing from all other athletic wear out in our precious oceans & waterways.
