Downtown Betty is a natural fiber clothing company specializing in activewear, sauna suits, yoga, and everyday lifestyle wear. Founded by Katie Quinn in 2009 along the coastal beaches of Vancouver, BC, the brand was built on a single belief: that beautiful, high-performance clothing should never come at the cost of your health or the planet.
Who is Katie Quinn
Katie Quinn is a designer, a lifelong lifestyle seeker, and the heart behind every piece of Downtown Betty clothing. Her roots are planted firmly in the Pacific Northwest, in the coastal trails, the cold ocean air, and the deeply conscious community that Vancouver has always called home. That environment didn't just shape her, it became the brand.
Over the years Katie has taken Downtown Betty far beyond the cutting room, traveling to Bali and immersing herself in a world that lives with the same intention she designs with. It was in Bali that DOGGESS came to life. A personal mission to raise awareness and funds for the street dog population of Southeast Asia. The compassion that drives DOGGESS is the same compassion woven into every piece she makes.
From Vancouver to Bali and everywhere in between, Katie has always moved by the same beat, to tread lightly on this planet, and wear clothing that lets you do the same.

We pride ourselves on keeping our clothing as natural as we possibly can. That is why our fabrics are Organic Cotton or Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Tested. Independently tested and verified to be free from harmful substances and safe against your skin.
This certification is our third-party proof behind every toxin-free claim we make.
Our garments are made with 95% Cotton and only just 5% Lycra to ensure comfort during yoga, exercise and long wear times. That’s why Downtown Betty is soooo comfortable to wear as cotton is one of the softest and easiest fabrics to decompose.
* Please note that our Black, White, and heathered pattern fabrics including Infinity are made from organic cotton and are every bit as natural, but fall outside the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Tested. We believe in being transparent about this because your trust matters more to us than a blanket claim.

Who is a DOGGESS?
A DOGGESS is a goddess who cares about and takes action for the well-being of dogs, whether street dogs, beach dogs, farm dogs, a neighbors dog, or your dog.
DOGGESS was created in an effort to educate on how to care for the Street Dog Population. DOGGESS PRODUCTS have been created to help drive funds towards our rescue efforts and other Active Dog Rescue Communities around the world.
