The Fabric Behind the Feeling
Every Downtown Betty piece is crafted from 95% Cotton with just 5% Lycra making each piece naturally breathable, low-tox, and one of the easiest fabrics to biodegrade. The majority of our fabrics are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 tested, independently tested and verified free from BPAs, PFAS, and harmful substances. Black, white and our heathered fabrics including Infinity, Ash, Athletica, and Thunder Cloud are organic cotton and every bit as natural, just outside the certification.
Cotton breathes with you when you move, softens with every wear, and feels as close to nothing as clothing can get. It's the simplest formula we know, and after sixteen years we've never needed to change it.

Every piece begins on Katie's cutting room in Vancouver, BC. We cut in small batches so nothing sits in a warehouse, nothing goes to waste, and every piece that reaches you has been touched with real care and intention.
